We welcome paddlers of all abilities, age and gender to become members of our club and offer coaching in many disciplines including Canoeing / Kayaking / SUP
We are located in the historic market town of Hexham in the North East of England Just off the A69, Just use Postcode NE46 3SG in Sat Nav
Club Sessions are held weekly from April to October on Saturdays at 13:00 and we usually finish around 15:00. These sessions are suitable for everyone from novice to experienced paddlers and are an ideal time to come along and give it a try.
Please bring spare clothing, wear clothes that you do not mind getting wet, and a warm drink in a flask if you have one. We will supply all the necessary equipment required for you to have a fun safe day.
Additional Sessions through the summer months are held on a Wednesday evening at 18:00 however we cannot always guarantee coach cover, so these sessions are suitable for more experienced paddlers.
Pool sessions are at the Wentworth leisure centre in Hexham during the winter months. We hold 2 sessions on Friday nights (8:30PM until 10:00PM) for members to improve their skills with coaching in a warm safe environment. (Pre-booking is required)
Winter months during this period sessions are replaced by River Trips every other week on Saturdays (where possible), members will be notified via Email when these are available, pre-booking is required and places MUST be confirmed by the club before attending.
Membership is open to anyone who can hold a paddle and agrees to abide by the Codes of Conduct for coaches and members.
To join our club, you can download the forms for membership and media consent from the main menu (using BACS payment) and then send them to us using the contact us.
Alternatively deliver them by hand, with your payment, to the Chair, Secretary or Treasurer at the boathouse on Tyne Green on a Saturday afternoon between 1300 and 1500.
If you need boat storage at the club boat house, please check availability before paying as spaces are limited.
